100 years ago Bruno Ruffo was born

It’s just a few more months till the celebrations for the Moto Guzzi centennial, but there’s another anniversary, just as far back as a century and just as “Guzzista”, that we want to celebrate today. 
One hundred years ago, on 9th December 1920, Bruno Ruffo was born near Verona. He was a racer destined to enter into the legend of the Eagle and of international motorcycle sport, winning on his Moto Guzzi “Gambalunghino” the first 250 title of the newly inaugurated World Championship.

Speaking of being predestined, only a few months after Bruno was born, Moto Guzzi made its racing debut in the Milan-Naples race of 1921. It was the first in a long series of competitive appearances that, already before the Second World War, consecrated the Eagle as a rising star of international motorsport, thanks to the victories in the 250, 350 and 500cc races by extraordinary racers such as Finzi (first at the Targa Florio in September 1921), MentastiGhersi, Visioli, Omobono Tenni and Stanley Woods
