There’s an endless list of sporting stories concealed behind the Eagle logo, many of which are famous and end in victory while others are little-known and noble, but no less exciting by any means.
One of these stories smacks of sand, sweat and guts and is set at the world’s toughest and most famous off-road challenge of them all: the Paris to Dakar Rally.
Moto Guzzi’s Paris to Dakar Rally experience includes participation in a number of these rallies held between 1979 and 1991, in various guises and often with rather discouraging results. As we said, however, the true value of this history is not to be found in the list of results and wins, but rather in the passion and the single-mindedness of those men who took our much-loved twins right into the heart of the Sahara Desert in Africa.
