The bracing air of the Adriatic Sea welcomed the grand final of the Moto Guzzi Fast Endurance European Cup 2021, getting under the riders’ leather suits and unleashing the chills and thrills of the fight for the title, won by Team Pablo, made up of the pair Paolo Rovelli and Francesco Curinga.
It may have been the splendour of the Italian coast in winter (or at least it felt like winter!) – or maybe the fact that we Guzzi fans are incurably sentimental – but on Sunday 10 October, while the 31 V7 IIIs were fighting on the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli in the last 90 minutes of racing, we started to feel like this was an initial cycle – after three seasons of racing and almost a year of celebrations for the Eagle’s centenary – which was coming to a conclusion. At the same time, as we leave Misano one thing is certain: Fast Endurance is ready to play a very important role in the next hundred years of Moto Guzzi’s history…
