The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride 2017

50 thousand motorcyclists in more than 500 cities in 90 countries, united by their passion for classic and vintage bikes in support of prostate cancer research and mental health.

These were the statistics recorded for the 2016 edition of the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, the fifth since the movement started in Australia. Year after year, the number of participants and supporters has been growing in every corner of the planet. Men and women that have no expectations other than donning their most jaunty and elegant outfit in their wardrobe, shining up the chrome on their motorbikes and getting together on the same day of the year, to show that fundraising, for such a sensitive and dramatic cause, is something to be done in the light of day, in the streets of downtown cities and with the widest smile beaming out from the helmet.

Sunday 24 September 2017 is the date for this sixth edition.
Five million dollars is the ambitious target that organisers of the DGR hope to collect and hand over to the Movember Foundation this year, thanks to the donations linked with the hundreds of rides that will be livening up our cities.

The pleasure of seeing many amazing Moto Guzzi file past in the DGR is certainly not a novelty, and if your garage is hiding a scrambler, a cafè racer, a classic or a bobber, there are no really no excuses, the appointment has been set: the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride is our opportunity to hold up the honour of the Mandello Eagle and riders of The Clan.

All we need to do is get those moustaches to grow, connect to the portal www.gentlemansride.com and register for ride closest to us, to become ambassadors the cause. Registration and participation is completely free, but any donation that we bring towards the cause will be important and appreciated.

See you with our Guzzi motorcycles at the 2017 Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride!
