These are the words of one of our travel companions on this, the 4th Moto Guzzi Experience – Is Molas Edition. They are still ringing in our ears a week after our return from Sardinia on 15 April 2018.
Many months have gone by since the first edition of this event took place back in September 2017, yet we continue to ask ourselves the question “what is the secret of the success of this four-day biking adventure?”
Perhaps it’s something to do with the intense flavours of local cuisine featured in the lunches and dinners, or maybe it’s the springtime panoramas lit up by the many colours of the Mediterranean scrub and traversed by the twisty roads. Perhaps it’s the fact of being on holiday far away from everything and everyone, escaping from the mundane daily routines at speed on a V-twin flying downhill, or maybe it’s the fleet of 45 gleaming Moto Guzzis that’s waiting for you on that first morning outside the reception area of the Is Molas Resort while you don your helmet, get ready to leave and wonder how many of the bikes you might get to try out that day.
